Europe’s Day on the 9th of May celebrates peace and unity in Europe every year. It is the day of the historical Schuman Declaration. In 1950, French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman gave a speech on that day, introducing his vision for a new kind of political cooperation for Europe. With the creation of the EC by merging coal and steel production, the foundation was laid for today’s European Union.

This year, May 9, 2019, the “Open Day for EU co-financed projects in the Oberwart region” will take place from 09:00 to 18:00. Partner Research Burgenland will also be represented with three EU projects:

2. ENERGETIKUM, https://europa.eu/investeu/projects/energetikum-%E2%80%93-living-laboratory_sl
3. CE-HEAT https://www.interreg-central.eu/Content.Node/CE-HEAT.html .

Within CAPACON it will be possible to see Laboratory Energetikum, the location of Steinamangerstraße 21, 7423 Pinkafeld, from 14:00 to 16:00, where a brand-new acquisition of CAPACON redox flow battery will be displayed and explained.

In the evening, the event “EUropa in Burgenland” will take place in the Culture hall at the Reduce Hotel Bad Tatzmannsdorf at 19:00, where the EU project CAPACON will also be brought to the front of the curtain.
